Pen Pals

This afternoon I went to Room 21 at Lincoln School in River Forest - the room of Mrs. Moore. For the last several months I've been pen pals with a group of Colleen's students. We've read "The Chalkbox Kid" and "The Paintbrush Kid" and over the course of the reading we shared letters back and forth discussing the books, characters and more. It was a great way for them to learn and I had a lot of fun reading their letters. I brought my kiddies some cupcakes and we had a fun afternoon sharing summer stories and pics of my wienie dogs. Such sweet kids!
