Baptising the Babe

Most people know I have wanted to be a mom for a VERY long time, and for some reason one of the times as a mom I always looked forward to most was the day my babe would be baptised. I don't know why, it's kind of a strange thing to look forward to, but the entire day leading up to the baptism I kept finding myself welling up with tears and emotion.
John and another baby, Ava Grace (who lives down the street) were baptised together on June 26. Meghan and Craig, his godparents, flew all the way from California to join us for this special day. Since we had 4 baby showers, we chose to keep the baptism small, with just John's godparents, parents and Grandma Jean present. But don't worry folks, we'll throw one heck of a party for his Holy Communion and Confirmation.
His christening gown is 100% Irish Linen and was imported from Donegal, Ireland. We will have his name and baptism date embroided on it, and it will be used for each Cuthbert babe to come.
