Fall is in the Air

Autumn is my favorite time of year, and just my luck, the season turned on my birthday. The last few weeks have been beautiful with crisp fresh air and mums and pumpkins filling the village. The Cuthbert home got a little more festive this week with the addition of some gourds and decor. Hinsdale has a massive squirrel population and last year they ate all my pumpkins within a week or two, so this year I sprayed them with pledge like the pumpkin patch man suggested. I've seen them lurking, but they haven't been munching! We also just got our kitchen table, which is our final new piece of furniture until it's time to put together a nursery.

A squirrel on my walk to work.

The leaves are just beginning to turn. It will be gorgeous here in a week or two. Picture to come!

Hinsdale Flower Shop with their assortment of fall mums and decorations.

My iron pumpkins. I thought they were adorable and artsy, but they don't show up to well with the bushes behind them.

Our front porch decked out with some gourds and mums.
