Garden Party

After kicking all the hungover folks out of our house Sunday morning, Mark and I went to a garden party at The Olsen’s House in Barrington Hills. Mr. Olsen is a senior partner at BCG and Mark just worked on one of his cases. He and his wife were generous enough to invite us all out to see their beauitful 10 acre garden and have a delicious lunch. The garden has been recognized by the Smithsonian, and one of the most amazing things I saw was that they had many Californian plants like dalias and elephant ears that don’t grow in Illinois. These people really love their plants because each year they pull them out in the fall and store them in their barn until they’re replanted in the spring. It was quite amazing (but I must admit, my Aunt’s Dalia’s are waaaaaaaay cooler.)
