Being a Tognetti and a candy-a-holic go hand in hand. Peems, Numbers, Juls, Jay.... Me... We all love our candy and have enormous sweet tooths. Numbers goes for the Lindt chocolates, Jay eats anything sour and covered in sugar, especially nerd ropes, Juls and I are red vine lovers and Peemsie likes her peeps. Well, for lent this year I've decided to give the good stuff up. Since I've already given up the boozin, and there's no way I'm giving up my coffee, the candy had to go. My seester and my office-mate are also giving up the candy, so hopefully we can be of support for one another when the milk dud cravings come on!
Mark and I went to 7 a.m. mass for ashes this morning. Megs went in California this morning too, and downed two Cokes before mass since she's giving up caffeine. I love it!
Good luck my fellow catholics. 40 days and 40 nights here we go. And don't forget, technically you can splurge on Easter Vigil since 'technically' it's already Easter at the Vatican!
